ABOUT US
The Dental Future Center is the state-of-the-art dental education facility in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. We are located just outside one of the nations most celebrated cities, Philadelphia. We are a fully accredited learning center that provides the latest in post-graduate dental education in a setting unlike no other.
The DFC is comprised of a 20 operatory simulation theater overlooking a live surgery chair, a 60 student auditorium and a 24 student team training room. Our objective is to provide dentists with the ultimate experience in dental post-graduate education.
We believe in providing education that Dentists need in order to strive in today's rapidly changing dental industry.

Our courses are designed to not only educate the dentist, but also the team supporting them, so that they are ready to apply their new skills at the workplace!

Dr. George Kirtley
National and International Lecturer in Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. George Kirtley has been involved in the field of cosmetic dentistry since 1985 and has positioned himself as a leader nationally and internationally through teaching, lecturing and providing the beautiful smiles seen on patients throughout the United States and Europe.

Dr. Martin Trope
Dr. Martin Trope was born in Johannesburg, South Africa where he received his BDS degree in dentistry in 1976. From 1976 to 1980 he practiced General Dentistry and Endodontics. In 1980 he moved to Philadelphia to specialize in Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating as an Endodontist he continued at the University of Pennsylvania as a faculty member until 1989 when he became Chair of Endodontology at Temple University, School of Dentistry. In 1993 he accepted the JB Freedland Professorship in the Department of Endodontics, UNC at Chapel Hill. Named in honor of one of the founding fathers of Endodontics, the Freedland Professorship recognizes significant contributions to the specialty. In 2014, he was awarded the Jens Ove Andreasen Lifetime Achievement Award by the International Association of Dental Traumatology.
Dr. Trope is Clinical Professor, Department of Endodontics, University of Pennsylvania. He is also in private practice.
Dr. Chris Stevens
International Speaker
Dr. Chris Stevens, a graduate of Marquette School of Dentistry, is an international speaker on the subjects of smile enhancement, principles of occlusion, full mouth restoration and diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular disorders. He has been an active lecturer for more than two decades and has spoken to thousands of care providers including dentists, physicians, chiropractors and physical therapists across the country and abroad.
Since 1991, he has been instructing doctors and their staff on the use of computer enhanced electro-diagnostic equipment in dentistry. Widely accepted applications for these instruments have been found in diagnosis and treatment of TMD, 3-D mandibular
repositioning, principles of occlusion and occlusal management processes.

He co-founded the Multi-Disciplinary Pain Clinic at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He currently lectures throughout the U.S. and Europe while maintaining a teaching center, the Center for Advanced Studies of Functional and Restorative Esthetics and a general dental practice in Sun Prairie, WI.
Dr. Felix Liao
Dr. Felix Liao is a thought leading bestselling author in oral contributions to medical symptoms and natural wellness. He founded and directs the Whole Health Dental Center in Falls Church, Virginia, created the HolisticMouthSolutions.com website, and has served as the President of the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine (IABDM).
Dr. Liao has thirty-plus years as a holistic/biological family dentist. He holds a Mastership in both the Academy of Dentistry and IABDM. He is board certified by the American Board of General Dentistry, and a certified instructor for Vivos System of Appliances.
Dr. Liao’s professional mission is to show dental and health professionals how to turn their patients’ mouths into an asset that amplifies whole body health rather than a liability that impairs it. He is the author of two groundbreaking books, Six-Foot Tiger, Three-Foot Cage: Take Charge of Your Health by Taking Charge of Your Mouth, and Early Sirens.
Dr. Liao gained international acclaim for having identified “Impaired Mouth Syndrome” as a collection of many medical and dental issues that defy conventional care as rooted in a structurally impaired mouth that can disrupt whole body health by blocking alignment, breathing, circulation, energy, and sleep. His paradigm-busting 3-D jaw diagnostics and WholeHealth approach for epigenetic jaw redevelopment has produced many unexpectedly successful results.
Dr. Liao educates all healthcare professionals worldwide on sleep-airway-mouth-chronic pain-fatigue connections. He also trains and mentors dentists on how to incorporate airway diagnosis and jaw redevelopment into their practice to treat Impaired Mouth Syndrome effectively in his Airway-centered Mouth Doctor (AMD) Training Seminars™.
Debra Zafiropoulos, RDH
Award Winning Dental Hygiene Lecturer
Debbie Zafiropoulos is a practicing RDH who founded the National Cancer Network, a nonprofit that works to educate more people about cancer, encourage cancer screenings, and support patients and those who care for them. The organizations mission is to raise awareness to prevent late stage diagnosis of all cancers through screening and referrals. Most recently, Debbie has won the very prestigious Sunstar/RDH Award of Distinction, an award that recognizes eight women who have made a difference in oral health awareness. Debbie still practices dental hygiene and is an active speaker in the dental and medical industry. We are honored partner with Debbie at the DFC, she will lead our unforgettable hygeine lectures.
Dr. Bernee Dunson
Dr. Dunson completed his undergraduate studies with a degree in biology in 1987. After, he entered the dental program at the University of Southern California (USC), where he received a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1991. He then attended Columbia University’s general dentistry residency program at Harlem Hospital in New York. After completing the residency, Dr. Dunson returned to Georgia, and in 1992, he began practicing as an associate in Atlanta. At the same time, he served as a resident at Loma Linda University (LLU) in California, receiving his graduate certificate from in oral implantology in 1997. He also has an IV and oral conscious sedation certificate from Miami Valley Medical College in Dayton, Ohio, making him one of the select few restorative dentists in Georgia who are certified and licensed to do IV sedation. Dr. Dunson started his own practice as a general, restorative and cosmetic dentist in Stone Mountain, Georgia in 1996. Dr. Dunson remains actively interested in the latest developments in his discipline and is involved in the following:

Dr. Philip R. Barbell
Dr. Barbell had been a practicing general dentist in New Jersey for 39 years and is now a Dental Risk Management Consultant and serves on the board of the National Society of Dental Practitioners. He was the Director of Risk Management for the Dentist’s Advantage malpractice insurance program for 4 years and now runs their Hotline service. He is also Associate Director – Florida for Dynamic Dental Safety, LLC, a dental regulatory and malpractice consulting service. He has been involved in organized dentistry at the local, state and national levels in several capacities, having served as President of Southern Dental Society of N.J. and the New Jersey Dental Association. He had been Chairman of the ADA National Advisory Committee on Health Literacy in Dentistry for seven years. He has been involved in the insurance arena for his entire professional career having served as either a board member or officer of several dental insurance entities. He has been involved in the dental liability area for over 24 years, having served for 11 years as President and Chairman of the Board of the National Dental Mutual Insurance Co., a national dentist owned and controlled malpractice insurance company. Dr. Barbell is a member of the Southern Dental Society of New Jersey, New Jersey Dental Association and the American Dental Association. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists.
Dr. Barbell has volunteered for several charitable and civic organizations. He currently manages the Coral Springs, FL office of “Seniors vs. Crime”, a Special Project of the Florida Attorney General, a voluntary non-profit organization assisting residents of Florida with civil complaints.
